The Carpenter's shop...
...where all the woodworking was completed on-site until the surrounding forests had been pretty much ‘clearcut’ for the mine’s increasing needs. This shop was massive and the photograph doesn’t do it justice. But I didn’t take a guided tour so I wasn’t allowed beyond locked doors to shoot from a better perspective. In fact, many of the interior shots youll see are either thru glass or thru wire mesh fencing. By focusing the camera for ‘deeper’ shots, the lens was able to effectively ignore the obstructions that were beneath the focal range. This technique works SOMETIMES but sometimes it makes portions of the shot look obscured – because they are. LOL!
