pink rose from historic St Emmanuel's Episcopal Church
The edifice of this Episcopal church is the oldest church structure from the Gold Rush era. The rest of the church was obviously rebuilt but done in a gentle way, preserving the look of the times with some more modern construction.
In front was an absolutely charming little courtyard with a few blooming rose bushes. This is exactly what one of them looked like, right down to the size of the (larger) image. It is completely unretouched.
